Another weekend.
Yes, I spent much/most of it doing homework, yes I hate my masters degree…I think we can all just agree at this point that every time I post to my blog there is an implicit ‘I hate my masters degree’ in there and move along.
I’ve finished chapter 3 of my next story. I actually hadn’t meant to post it until I had finished it, but it got posted halfway through. Anyway, the full version is now in full effect. Chapter 4 is next. Ah…obviously.
Derek’s doing a neat thing this weekend. There’s a competition where you make a music video to some given music and submit it. First prize is $15,000. Second and third are $5000. I figure I don’t have much to loose, except more time out of my already slim weekends. I could write a script for us to work on, too, if I wanted. But I already have a writing project, and not much time for anything else.
I actually have too many invitations to possibly attend for this upcoming weekend. Aside from the standard homework duties (hate) there is a birthday party AND a Halloween party on Friday (I’m going to the Halloween party) and a BBQ AND, probably, a card game on Saturday. Yikes. And yet, so very, very cool.
Also looking forward to going up to Juneau for Christmas break as well as Vegas for thanksgiving. That’ll be fun.
AND they’ve started up another round of new hire training classes. Yay! I love doing those things. Good by Trung too, as I understand it, because it gets me off my overhead charge number. Good for bookkeeping.
Also, as I’ve sure many of you have noticed, the feds are checking up on me. I’m in for some sort of higher-level security clearance, and this one actually involves actually going around and talking to the people I’ve made mention of before. So if you’re related to me, or if I’ve asked if I could, expect to have someone from the government come talk to you about me. Pretty boring questions, though, as I understand it.
Okay, other stuff to do now, TA!

Dude!
When you get back into town for christmas break, you have to call me, we absolutely must go drink until we find God! (or whatever passes for the supreme being in this corner of time and space...)
